Hi, I’m Coleen Bryan
I use my experience and expertise to guide students through the college admissions process, so that they get into their dream colleges.
Getting into college is competitive and the requirements are challenging. I provide the knowledge and guidance necessary for students become college material. We work with students from 8th grade to transfer students from all over the world. From designing academic plans to providing support for students to write effective college essays, College Materials will guide you on the path to college.
Coleen Bryan, Director of College Materials
Earned a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego. She has
taken several graduate courses in Education from the University of San
Francisco and completed the College Counseling program at UCLA.
Coleen worked in Outreach and Admissions for over five years as an
Outreach Coordinator for the University of California, Santa Barbara
and the University of California, Berkeley. She has been responsible
for providing admissions advice to parents, students, teachers, and
organizations throughout northern and southern California for the
Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP). Additionally, she has taught
test preparation academies, college application workshops, and college
preparation seminars for schools in Ventura County and the San
Francisco Bay Area. Her involvement in outreach allowed her to gain
valuable knowledge and insight into the admissions requirements of the
University of California and other competitive colleges.
Coleen has had extensive training in editing college applications,
analyzing college essays for admission, securing financial aid for
students, conducting college preparation workshops, and providing
individualized admissions consulting. Additionally, she maintains her
college admissions expertise by attending college fairs, participating
in professional development opportunities, and touring colleges.
Coleen Bryan is a member of several national professional counseling
organizations, including the Western Association for College Admission
Counseling (WACAC) and the Higher Education Consultants Association
(HECA).
